PERSECUTION IS PROFITABLE
Read 2 Timothy 3: 12

John Bunyan was ordered, "Stop preaching the gospel." But he continued and he was imprisoned. One day he saw his blind daughter selling shoe laces he had made in prison. The money that she earned was to feed his family. But from that imprisonment came the wonderful book Pilgrim's Progress.

Luther was imprisoned. From that imprisonment came the translation of the Bible into the German language.

David wrote many of the Psalms while he was persecuted by Saul, and Paul wrote the book of Philippians while he was imprisoned.

Does this seem strange? No. The Bible says, "All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."

Prayer: Help me, heavenly Father, to trust Thee confidently; to toil for Thee courageously; and to testify for Thee cheerfully: through Christ our Lord. Amen.
